Dry-hopped and dosed with Brettanomyces at bottling, so it keeps changing for years. No two ages of Orval taste the same, which is the point.
Brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery, under the supervision of the monastic community, with profits directed to the monastery or to charity. The roster is not fixed. Breweries have both gained and lost the designation as their communities changed.
