The strongest of the Rochefort beers, from an abbey that has brewed since 1595 and still caps output at what the monks can make.
Brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery, under the supervision of the monastic community, with profits directed to the monastery or to charity. The roster is not fixed. Breweries have both gained and lost the designation as their communities changed.
