The beer that gave the quadrupel its name. The only Trappist brewery in the Netherlands.
Brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery, under the supervision of the monastic community, with profits directed to the monastery or to charity. The roster is not fixed. Breweries have both gained and lost the designation as their communities changed.
