The most bitter mainstream pilsner in Germany, from Friesland where the water is soft enough to carry it.
Originally limited beer to water, barley and hops. Yeast was not yet understood. Not a modern legal requirement for most beer sold in Germany, but still claimed as a mark of tradition.
