Southern Europe
Italy had almost no brewing culture until the late 1990s and now has one of the most inventive in Europe. Its clearest contribution is the Italian pilsner, a German style dry-hopped into something else entirely, and now brewed worldwide under a name that did not exist thirty years ago.
